Dec 19, · STOCKHOLM, Dec 19 (Reuters) - The Dutch owner of Saab has asked for the ailing car maker to be made bankrupt, a court said on Monday, setting the stage for the demise of one of Sweden’s best known. On 16 April , a meeting on Saab's bankruptcy was held at the District Court of Vänersborg. The official receivers in charge of the Saab liquidation valued the assets at US$m and the debt at US$2,m. After subtracting the value of the assets, Saab leaves a debt of US$1,m. The buyers of bankrupt Swedish carmaker Saab said Monday they would launch their first model in using the Saab name, after concluding the purchase of the company for an undisclosed sum.
