Oct 04,  · We went to Almvigs on a referral looking for a specific appliance. The unit we were looking for needed to be ordered with a long lead time. They showed us an even better unit immediately available. We purchased the unit and scheduled delivery. Nightmare. Missed the delivery time .twice on two different days/5(8). The purchasing process went well enough. Things went south when it came to the delivery of the unit and customer service following our payment. We scheduled the delivery a month in advance as I, the wife, needed to take time off work to be there when Almvig's delivered the unit.

Almvig's had my contact information and knew that I would handle the delivery part of the purchase. They were supposed to call to confirm a delivery time in the morning, they didn't. At noon, I called to get an update as I wanted to jump in the shower but didn't want to have to run out when the doorbell rang. The sales associate said he would call the delivery team and call me right back. He didn't. At pm I called again to check on the delivery as they close at pm. Again, the same associate said he would call the delivery team and get back to me right away.

At pm they called my husband at work to tell him the unit was not on the truck. That it would be delivered five days later. My husband text to ask me to handle the call as he was in a meeting. This is where things got incredibly sexist, in my opinion. I called the same associate, he continued to assure me that my husband was fine moving the delivery date. I assured him that was not true. So frustrating as you rarely get this treatment in Seattle!

In the end, because they were closed by now, he said he would put a gift certificate to Whole Foods in the mail the following day My husband was furious as he hates sexism just as much as I do and they never should have contacted him at work.

He took PTO for the later delivery date as mine was used up for the year. He called as soon as Almvig's opened to let them know if the unit wasn't delivered that day we would cancel the purchase as it didn't meet the signed agreement that included the original delivery date. Missed the delivery time When they finally got there, two guys. One on a headset making a personal phone call and the other one texting the entire time. The really disappointing part was the response at the store when we were trying to get information. They don't answer the phone nor do they respond to a voicemail. After multiple tries and finally connecting,, the response was Indifference - wel'll get to you when we get to you.

One of the best things about this purchase was that they were able to order a fridge that had been discontinued, but that met our specific needs. Not only were they able to get us a hard-to-find product, but their prices were also better than other places we had looked for the same appliances.

We were so happy with that experience that we let ourselves be talked into going back a couple of weeks later for a very nice range hood, and we are so glad we got that as well. Once again, the prices they gave us were the best we could find, and their service was as friendly as always. Nearing the end of this remodel, with our baby girl due very soon, we ran into a problem with the dishwasher — it had been damaged somehow, and was not functioning. Our contractor denied responsibility and did not want to help; we called the local authorized Kitchenaid service centers, and they could not get to us for over a week.

And although it did could not be determined what happened to the dishwasher, he offered to replace it and have the new one installed only two days later, at no further cost to us. It is such a relief to have the dishwasher in place and working now!

Now we strongly insist that they go there for everything they need. We have already told our story to several friends, and will continue to do so.
